The DSA is a volunteer group supporting students and staff at The John Dickinson School, Our goal is to build a strong, connected school community, and everyone is welcome to be involved — no membership fee required. Every level of participation matters.

Here’s how the DSA actively supports our school community throughout the year:
🤝 Monthly meetings for parents, administrators, staff, and community members to connect.
💰 Fundraisers that support school activities and staff appreciation events.
💰 Funding support for school activities.
💙 Staff appreciation activities.
📣 Organizes volunteer opportunities to support the school.
🫶 Strengthens and supports family engagement throughout the year.
The DSA Board is made up of parent volunteers.
The Board meets monthly for an Executive Meeting, immediately followed by the general monthly meeting.
DSA Board members stay in touch throughout the month with light communication.
President: Creates agenda, leads meetings and keeps discussions on track.
Vice President: Serves as support for president, steps in when President is absent.
Secretary: Takes minutes and manages communications and records.
Treasurer: Manages accounts, tracks finances, and signs the checks.
