About The Author:
Doreen-Zilpah Quansah, a 9 year old author, published her first ever book; Diary of A Tween, however this wasn't the first story she wrote. At the young age of 6 years old she had already began fulfilling her dreams of becoming an author, typing stories throughout covid lock-down.
What inspired me to write Diary Of A Tween?
One day, an author visited my school, speaking about his books, sparking my imagination. I also spends a great deal of my day reading books; my favorite type being "diaries" e.g: Dork Diaries, Diary of A Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates, and more! And finally, the constant support and motivation from my parents and siblings really fueled my writing.
What are some of my hobbies?
I enjoy reading, writing poems for my church, playing video-games with friends, and visiting places that inspire my creative story telling.
Doreen-Zilpah's advice to other upcoming young authors and their parents:
'If you want to begin your career as an author, you must always remember to read. Reading upgrades your vocabulary and can give you ideas for your book just like it did for mine. And for parents; please encourage your children to read at least (hopefully) everyday and to try to use their imagination.'
