Wells Abee (8th Grader) is excited to make her SYT debut! She has performed at Jesse Boyd Elementary and Spartanburg District 7 productions including The Wizard of Oz (Mayor), The Jungle Book (Balloo), and The Music Man (Ensemble). Wells is a 7th grader at McCracken Middle School, where she serves on student council and is a member of the Spartanburg High School cross country team. She is an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Wells would like to thank her family for making it possible to juggle all the activities she loves- especially theatre!
Sara Brooks (Gang Kid) is a 6th grader at Dawkins Middle School. She enjoys singing and playing a variety of instruments. Sara’s excited to help dramatize the middle school experience. She has performed in many SYT and SLT productions, most recently in School of Rock. She would like to thank Dr. Siarris and Mrs. Walls for supporting her musical interest, her family for their support, and SYT for this opportunity to be in the middle of it all!
Pressley Campbell (Fregley’s Mom/Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her SYT mainstage debut! She is an 11th grader at Dorman High School, and has appeared in various productions. Her favorite credits include Lina Lamont in Singin' in the Rain and Roz Keith in 9 to 5 the Musical. With a passion for the stage, Pressley is excited to bring this wonderful story to life and share this experience with the audience. She would like to give a special thanks to her family and friends for their unwavering support. Don't touch the cheese!
Austin Chevalier (Charlie Davis) is excited to make his SYT debut! He was recently in School of Rock with SLT. He is 11 years old and in the 6th grade. His passion along with theatre is playing the electric guitar.
Benjamin Davis (Kid Ensemble) was last seen at SYT as Eric in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. This is his second show with SYT. Benjamin is 13 and a homeschooler. He enjoys math and science. When he is not doing theatre you can find him playing baseball for his middle school team, volunteering at the library, and reading. He would like to thank his family for supporting him and his mom for driving him everywhere.
Ayush Downs (Chirag Gupta) is so excited to make his stage debut with SYT. He is a 7th grader at Greer Middle School and loves playing basketball. He would like to thank his family for their support!
Hunter Earls (Lionel James) is thrilled to be making his debut with the Spartanburg Youth Theatre! Hunter is a rising 6th grade student at Green Charter School of Spartanburg. He is a member of the National Beta Club and a vocal student with Lawson Academy of the Arts at Converse College. He loves music, video games, and working out. Hunter has most recently performed for Spartanburg Little Theater as Young Charlie in Kinky Boots and as Mason in School of Rock. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Dylan Johnson (Fregley) is absolutely thrilled to be making his SYT debut and would like to thank Adam and the rest of the Wimpy Kid team for this amazing opportunity. Dylan recently performed as James in School of Rock with the SLT and had a blast. He also has performed in many productions with the Inman Children’s Theatre over the past 3 years where his passion for theatre started. Offstage, Dylan is a 7th grader at Mountain View Preparatory School, and his favorite subject is math. During his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball at McMillan Park, reading a good book, and spending time with friends and family. He would like to thank those who have been supportive and encouraging throughout his theatre journey and coming to watch him on stage. “Thank you….you know who you are!”
Neaisha Jones (Dance Captain/Ensemble) is very excited for her second show with SYT! She was last seen at SYT in Disney’s The Lion King. She is also active with Dorman High School’s theatre department. She is very proud of herself and the cast for putting this production together. She would like to thank everyone for staying positive and strong throughout the rehearsal process and for working hard! Tomas Mallard (Chris Hosey) is so excited to make his SYT debut! He a 6th grade student at UHC and the Mallard Academy. In his spare time, he is working on writing a fantasy novel. He would like to thank his friends and family for their support and the team at SYT for giving him this opportunity.
Cooper Martsberger (8th Grader) is thrilled to be part of this production! After reading his first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book at age 6, he has been an avid fan of the series. In addition to his love for reading, Cooper has an equal love for theatre and the performing arts. At SYT, he has enjoyed participating in past shows including Annie Jr. (Burt Healy), Charlotte’s Web (Wilbur), and Disney’s Newsies Jr. (Les). He is grateful to be mentored and inspired by the incredible production team at SYT, and would like to thank Adam for being a great role model and director.
Penelope McDaniels (Pauline) is so excited to be in her second SYT production! Previous roles include Dance Corps in District 6’s production of Descendants, Ensemble in SYT’s production of The Rainbow Fish, Squirt in District 6’s production of Finding Nemo Jr., Ensemble in District 7’s production of Frozen, and various plays at Pine Street School. Penelope would like to thank her family, her friends, and Becca for their support. She would also like to give a special shout out to the amazing cast and crew for Diary of a Wimpy Kid. “I will forever be stuck in the middle with you!”
Madison Miller (Mrs. Clayton/Ensemble) is delighted to return to SYT, having played Rafiki in last season’s Disney’s The Lion King Jr. Madison is a junior at Dorman High School and has performed in many productions there including 9 to 5 the Musical, Descendants, and Seussical. Madison is thankful to be able to perform with this amazing cast, and wants to thank her family and friends for their continued love and support.
Grace Mitchell (Gang Kid/Kindergartner) is happy to be back on the SYT stage for the third time, previously playing Hermit Crab in The Rainbow Fish and Tessie in Annie Jr. A 7th grader at Spartanburg Day School, Grace loves performing for younger audiences and especially loves comedy. When she’s not running on the cross-country team or preparing for the next spelling bee, she’s making her family and friends laugh!
Giroux Morelock (Greg Hefley) is thrilled to be back on stage in Spartanburg. He was previously in SLT’s production of School of Rock and is ready to rock again for his SYT debut! He has been performing with the Inman Children’s Theatre for several years, appearing this summer as Eurysteus in Hercules and as Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz. He attends Florence Chapel Middle School and is an academic all-star who loves a good challenge, but the arts are where he thrives. He enjoys creative writing, drawing, music and being around animals. Giroux would like to thank all the special people who have influenced and guided him to this point.
Dylan Morrison (Mr. Huff/Bill Walter/Mr. Winsky) is excited for his third show at SYT. He is a senior and this is his last year with the program. He would like to thank his parents and teachers for bringing him this far and hopes you enjoy the show.
Jaiden Nolan (Rodrick) is so excited to be back on the SYT stage again. You may have seen Jaiden on stage last season as Mr. Wormwood in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and Zazu in Disney’s The Lion King Jr. Jaiden is a senior at Dorman High School and would like to thank his friends, family and Adam for this wonderful opportunity.
Wren Padgett (Claire) is excited to return to the SYT stage. Her favorite roles include Blue Dragon in Dragon Loves Tacos, Pepper in Annie Jr., and the March Hare in Alice in Wonderland. As a seventh grader at McCracken Middle, Wren enjoys piano and hiking in her downtime. She would like to thank her directors and cast mates for their support and kindness. Aila Kate Peuser (Patty Farrell) is excited to make her SYT debut! She was most recently seen on stage as Marta in the SLT production of The Sound of Music. She is in the 6th grade at McCracken Middle School. She loves to dance and has been on the competitive dance team with Arts Academy of the Carolinas for 6 years. She would like to thank Adam and the entire production staff for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing production. She would also like to thank her family for always being her biggest fans along with Dr. Cathy and Lori Patterson for their support.
Katie Rankin (Gang Kid) is excited for her first role at SYT and hopes to be in many more! She is in the 6th grade at High Point Academy, where she enjoys art, choir, theater, and math. She is currently appearing in the HPA fall musical of Elf the Musical Jr. and has previously performed in the ensemble in Cinderella, Aladdin KIDS, and Frozen. She loves being on stage and is excited to see where her future takes her.
Alex Richards (Ensemble) is in their junior year of high school at Dorman. They are excited to be a part of this show. This is also Alex's first year on SYT’s Junior Advisory Board and is so happy to have the opportunity to be part of such an amazing board. Haleigh Roberts (Susan Heffley) is so excited to make her SYT debut! Haleigh has been doing theatre since she was little and wants to continue to pursue it in the future. Bishop Simmons (Bryce Anderson) is a 6th grader at Dawkins Middle School and couldn’t be happier to make his SYT debut! During his elementary years at Jesse S. Bobo Elementary, he performed in The Lion King Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr. (Flounder), and Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Lumiere). He is so excited to expand into the SYT family! He enjoys karate (he is a black belt), soccer, Minecraft, and Legos. He would like to thank his mom, dad, friends, teachers, family and neighbors for always supporting him in everything he does!
Kirk Suits (Manny Heffley) is a 4th grader and is excited to make his SYT debut. He has performed in Moana and Matilda (Eric) with Pine Street Elementary, The Music Man (Winthrop swing) with District 7, and Shrek Jr. (Peter Pan) with Arts in Motion. Kirk is also known as an actor, soloist, and rapper at his church, First Baptist Spartanburg. He enjoys playing soccer and baseball and cheering for the Braves. He is happy to be playing the baby of the family because they always get what they want! Kirk is the middle kid in real life with his siblings Judah and Annaleah, all of whom his parents, Steven and Kelli, love equally.
Haylee Trejo (Yvette/Kindergartner) is excited to make her SYT debut! She loves being on stage whether she is acting, singing or dancing. Haylee is a student at High Point Academy with the title of Miss Little HPA. She will also be performing in Elf the Musical Jr. this winter. She would like to thank God for this opportunity and her parents and brothers for the love and support.
Jonathan Wilson (Frank Heffley) feels right at home in the theater! Some of his favorite roles include Troy Bolton in High School Musical, Gilbert Blythe in Anne of Green Gables, Scar in Disney’s The Lion King Jr., and Ensemble in SLT’s The Sound of Music. This summer his skills were challenged and stretched in Songs for a New World. He takes voice and violin and also enjoys playing video games and reading fantasy novels. As a senior this year, Jonathan plans to attend Clemson University to major in engineering and minor musical theatre.
Stephen Wilson (Rowley Jefferson) is having a blast playing Rowley in his second SYT production. He was previously seen in The Rainbow Fish. As a 7th grader, Stephen is beginning his fifth year of piano and starting his first year of voice. He enjoys reading Harry Potter, The Three Investigators, and learning about engineering through Crunch Labs. Stephen loves spending time with his siblings and playing board and video games.
Hannah Winkler (8th Grader) is excited to be in another SYT production! She was previously in Alice in Wonderland and Dragons Love Tacos at SYT and Descendants at Dorman. She is in the 8th grade at Dawkins Middle. She would like to thank her family for their love and support.
Jaeleah Wise (Ensemble) is a sophomore at Dorman High School. She most recently appeared as Sarafina in SYT's production of Disney’s The Lion King Jr., and has participated in nine shows with the Dorman Theatre Department, including the role of Mal in their recent production of Descendants Jr. Jaeleah extends her gratitude to her friends and family for their unwavering support in her theatre journey and hopes you enjoy the show!
Evan Wood (Joshie/Ensemble) is an 11th grade student at Dorman High School, is so excited to get to do this show with SYT! Evan has been seen onstage at SYT as The Escapologist in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr., as well as Ensemble in Disney’s Newsies Jr. This is his third season participating in theatre. Eowyn Connor is an 8th grade homeschooler and is ecstatic to be on crew again! She has helped backstage with both SYT's Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and A Christmas Carol. She also assisted with mouse costumes and Drosselmeyer's stage magic during Ballet Spartanburg's The Nutcracker. She enjoys sewing, going to the library, swimming, making poorly timed jokes, and acting as her dog's emotional support human. She's been going to SYT productions and camps for as long as she can remember and is honored to have the opportunity to help!
Brynn Grant is delighted to be participating in her first production at SYT! She is currently a sophomore at Boiling Springs High School. Brynn has performed at Inman Theatre since 2017 and would like to thank Buren and Milner Martin as well as her family for always supporting her on and off stage.
Reese Green is thrilled to be part of her first crew! Reese is a 7th grader at Florence Chapel Middle School. She was last seen at SYT in The Rainbow Fish and A Christmas Carol. Be sure to catch her next in The Wizard of Oz this December. Reese loves being involved with SYT and can’t wait to contribute to this amazing production!

Betsy is a 7th grader at McCracken Middle School and enjoys reading, traveling, playing basketball, and being with friends. Selah Rodriguez is excited to crew her first show with SYT! Some of her favorite onstage roles include Matilda in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and Clownfish in The Rainbow Fish. She is a 7th grader at Dawkins Middle School and enjoys playing the violin and reading.

Delaney Zibell is excited to crew her fourth production at SYT! She is a 9th grader at the Dorman Freshman Campus. Delaney is also involved with Dorman Theatre and Spartanburg Youth Orchestra. In her spare time, she enjoys playing violin and guitar, listening to Broadway soundtracks, and playing card games with her family.

Adri was most recently seen as Ensemble in Disney’s The Lion King Jr. Her favorite roles include being a Newsie in Disney’s Newsies Jr., Ensemble in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr., and getting to be Stage Manager for A Christmas Carol last season.
