I am a counsellor whose foundations are based in the Person-Centred model, working with clients holistically to create a safe therapeutic space.
I have a post graduate diploma in counselling children and young people, foundation degree in counselling, and I have undertaken a range of continuing professional development courses which enhance my practice.
My background is in supporting people with mental health difficulties, I have worked in education and at Shropshire Mind, providing one to one and group support.
I have facilitated counselling at a local organisation, in schools and I have provided out reach therapy in rural medical practices in Shropshire.
My aim is to facilitate counselling throughout the Coronavirus pandemic by offering alternatives to face to face sessions, such as online, telephone, and walk and talk Wednesdays. This allows flexibility and an opportunity to explore your issues within a Covid safe environment, with an empathic and experienced therapist.
I have experience of working with a broad range of areas, including:
depression and anxiety
aging
abuse
bullying
bereavement
menopause
parenting
relationships
caring
abortion
dreams
guilt
trauma
Autism
disabilities/chronic pain
