Naomi Fugle

Naomi Fugle, Cameco Corporation

Born and raised in middle eastern Saskatchewan and currently reside in Saskatoon.

Employed at Cameco’s McArthur River Operation as an Environment Officer for the past 3 years. Previously employed with Orano in Nunavut working in the safety and environmental department.

Two years on mine rescue and competed once in the provincial competition as medic.

Enjoys sports including horseback riding in her spare time as well as driving on the open road on her motorbike.

Why is this important to Naomi?

“It’s important for me to participate because we need to show the world that women are valued members of mine rescue teams. Women are more than capable of performing in high stress situations and provide the diversity that many teams lack.”
