Why is this important to Bruce?

“Lack of diversity in mine rescue and emergency response within the mining industry has always been a concern for me. My objectives are to utilize the non-profit and the 2018 International Mines Rescue Competition to showcase how diversity is important and possible in these otherwise non-traditional roles. Women are an asset not a hindrance. They are just as capable as their male counterparts.Over the years, I’ve worked with several mine rescue women and, in my experience, they are at least as capable as their male counterparts.”
