DIAMETROIT is a project funded by the Italian Ministry of University (MUR) through the Italian Fund for Science (FIS). This project aims to make major advancements in our understanding of long-term residential social structure (1991-2021), enabling the comparison of urban evolution in major Italian metropolitan areas. In the short term, we expect to achieve (1) the creation of internationally comparable metropolitan-level analytical units, and (2) an analysis of (a) socio-professional and (b) generational segregation levels at the metropolitan level. DIAMETROIT is funded for 3 years and led by Niccolò Morelli, Senior Assistant Professor of Sociology at Università di Genova.
