Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of the Android application Diabetes Monitor created by Huan Nguyen. The Application is a data logging tool that help collecting and analysing your diabetes related health data.

User Provided Information

The Application only collects the data that users manually provide via the user interface and stores it safely in the device's internal storage. The application does not collect any personal information from the device where it is installed without user permission. For some exceptions see the section entitled Automatically Collected Information below.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application does not automatically collect any information without your awareness except for analytics and advertising purposes which are described in the analytics and advertising section.

Location Information

This Application does not collect information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

This Application does not share the obtained information with any third party. The only exception is we use Google Drive's service to provide backup feature on Android 6.0+. The backup data is stored and protected by Google in your Google Drive's account. The backup feature is to allow you to install the Application on another device and restore your data on that device. You can always disable the backup feature in Google Drive's settings.

Google Analytics and Advertising

We work with Google Analytics to obtain data to help us identify issue with the app or how easy it is to use with the purpose to improve its quality. An example of such data is the frequency of screen visit.

To raise an Application maintenance fund, we also work with advertisers and third party advertising networks like AdMob. Such advertisers usually tracks how you interact with ad banners in the Application to work out determine how much we earn from ads. Advertisers may use some of the information collected by the Application, including, but not limited to, gender for displaying appropriate ads.

Security

All data collected from the Application is only stored on the device where it is installed. We rely on the device's security implementation to keep the data secure. The stored data is never transferred to anywhere except when you explicitly request to export a report and send it via email yourself. In that occasion, the Application relies on your email client to ensure the security of the sent report.

Changes

We may revise this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this web page, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted.
