Dec 2025- Mr. Nilanjeeb Das has been honoured with the Best Presentation Award at the 3rd International Conference on Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (ICNAN 25) held at Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu, from 16–19 December 2025. Nilanjeeb presented his research titled 'Reassessing the role of ITO thickness to optimise device performance in perovskite solar cells'. Check out the PIC.
Dec 2025- Mr. Ashish Malik has been honoured with the Best Oral Presentation Award at 'The 10th International Conference on Advances in Energy Research (ICAER)', held at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India, from 16-19 Dec 2025. Ashish presented his research work entitled 'Dynamic Optical Modelling of Degradation in Perovskite Solar Cells due to Incident Light Stress - Study on layer-by-layer Energy Deposition Mapping. Mar 2023- The group received CRG grant entitled "High Performance, Colour Tunable Perovskite Solar Cells Employing Externally Integrated Reflector" from SERB (now ANRF)- DST.
Mar 2023- The PI shifted to IIT Dharwad
June 2022- IIT Bhilai and a major speciality glass manufacturer signed an agreement to develop perovskite solar cells on flexible glass.
Oct 2021- Ms. Sonia Rani got selected for Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF). Congratulations Sonia!!

Oct 2020- Table-top sputtering deposition system (NanoPVD- Moorfield) installed in the lab.

Oct 2019- The group received "Institute Matching Grant" funded by IIT Bhilai with an outlay of 25 Lakhs for the purchase of PVD coater.
Mar 2019- The group received ECRA project entitled “Semitransparent Perovskite Solar Cells for Tandem and Building Integrated Photovoltaic Applications (SPSC-TBIPV)” with an outlay of Rs. 55 Lakhs. Details
