The Student Government Association is composed of three distinct branches: Executive, Senate, and Class Councils.
Each body is charged with handling responsibilities from planning homecoming, Class Trips, Prom and more. Please visit the respective office for more information.
Elections & Voting
Elections occur every year, in May. Every Student Body Officer, Class Council Officers, and vacant Senate seats are subject to elections each year. Elections are administered by the Secretary of Elections Office.
The Constitution:
Our Student Government Association is governed by the Druid Hills High SGA Constitution. The Preamble states “We the students of Druid Hills High, to provide an official and representative organization to receive student questions and suggestions, investigate student problems and take appropriate action, provide the official voice through which the students’ opinion may be expressed, encourage the development of responsible student participation in the overall policy and decision-making processes of the school’s community, foster an awareness of the student’s role in the academic community, enhance the quality and scope of education at Druid Hills High, and provide means for responsible and effective participation in the organization of student affairs, do establish this Constitution for the Student Government Association at the Druid Hills High School.”
