What is literature? t whether by the general scholar or the lover of good books any formal definition of literature is needed, but to those who by choice or necessity spend much of their time in an honest endeavor to lead untrained and uncultured minds to a fuller appreciation of its contents and character, it must be clear that whatever tends to make impressions more definite is of especial value in a subject where loose and unconsidered generalizations are so common and so unfortunately. At the point when we read Literature, we likewise find critical contrasts. This permits us to investigate another's message or life, even those isolated from us by time and social boundaries. To peruse Literature is an exercise in perspective.
Literature is the mirror of society: Literature has majorly affected the improvement of society. It has molded civilizations, changed political frameworks and uncovered foul play. Literature gives us an itemized review of human encounters, permitting us to associate on fundamental inexorable degrees of want and feeling. Like same it has effected my life.
At a first sight when I taking literature at that time, I have in mind prose, Fiction, Novels, Poetry, Short stories, plays. It may be, however that is what said is not totally applicable to literature. What account of learning we perceiving from the literature? it means literature helps us to shape some of the convictions that govern the reading of fiction as opposed to the reading of factual accounts of various kinds of imaginative thoughts. That imaginative thought in literature can be argued, can be change perception almost involuntarily yet be a rational.
Coming from a completely different side of the world where a completely different language is spoken, distinct cultural norms exist, like the feeling of Ashima in The Namesake. I had to relearn what I previously knew so well. I would like to think of my writing journey as being divided into two-part M.A and B.A. What to do after B.A? was a big question like as Robert Frost advocate
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Each stage equally important in bringing out my faults and mistakes in understanding the English language and literature, ultimately leading me to unlock my full potential as a student of English language and literature.
My journey of English literature started with the Anglo-Saxon or in other words old English which currently not in use with the people in the society. The books transported me into new worlds and introduced me to amazing people who lived exciting lives. I went on olden-day sailing ships with Joseph Conrad. I went to Africa with Ernest Hemingway and to India with Rudyard Kipling. As soon as I was put into my first class of English. It felt as if I was an alien that somehow got airdropped onto a foreign planet. While trying to make sense of things and adapt to the new environment. As Franz Kafka
By believing passionately in something that still does not exist, we create it.
The nonexistence is whatever we have not sufficiently desired.
Metaphor
Here i have taken metaphor of Pineapple. Pineapple is a large tropical fruit with a spiky, tough skin and sweet insides. The scaly bumps on the outside are called "eyes." Slice it open, and you'll find bright yellow flesh that's both sweet and tart.
"Be like a pineapple - stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside."
If you think about it, those are the qualities I strive to learn as I grow older! I want I have self confidence, but to be kind and sweet to all. Like literature is hard and nonplussed to understand at first sight if you have attitude to gain everything, but you want understand the real essence of literature the we have to be passionate towards literature to go deep in to it. Too shallow only gives story not the real sweetness of literature like pineapple.
The pineapple is symbolic, as it establishes a vibration for mental activity. I challenge old perspectives by creating positive memories to redefine narratives bound by trauma. I expect my audience to see my use of symbolism as a way to capture a snapshot of their own individual trauma and marry it with healing. as this things i have learn from
"The Sense of An Ending".
