Biography:
Dr. DHARMESH DABHI received the Ph.D. and Mater Degree from M & V Patel Department of Electrical Engineering, Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT UNIVERSITY), Changa, India, in 2021 and 2014 respectively. Right now, He is an Analyst position in the Security of Supply and Wholesale Electricity Market division in the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU), which is the Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator with a wide range of economic, safety and customer protection responsibilities across energy and water. Before joining the the CRU, He was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Technological University Dublin from 2022 to 2024, Ireland. Before that, He was an Assistant Professor with the M & V Patel Department of Electrical Engineering, CHARUSAT from 2014 to 2022.
His area of interest are: Smart Grid Optimization, Nature-inspired Meta-Heuristic Computational Intelligence methods, Peer to Peer trading, Electricity Market, Integration of Renewable Energy Sources, Restructured Power System, Power system operation and control, Demand Response
He proposed many optimization algorithms (listed below) in the international competitions at IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC), The Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO) and IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence and got the top three rank many times.
- In 2023, Secured the 2nd place by proposing the algorithm entitled “CHAOTIC CAUCHY HC2RCEDUMDA (CC_HC2RCEDUMDA)" in Competition on “Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Operation and Planning Applications" at IEEE– CEC and GECCO 2023 Conference.
- In 2022, Secured the 3rd place by proposing the algorithm entitled “CHAOTIC LEVY HC2RCEDUMDA " in Competition on Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Risk- based Energy Scheduling” at IEEE– WCCI and GECCO 2022 Conference.
- In 2021, Secured the 6th place by proposing the algorithm entitled “FCI_ES- ELPSO " in Competition on Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Risk- based Energy Scheduling” at IEEE PES GM 2021, IEEE CEC 2021 & GECCO 2021.
- In 2020, Secured the 1st place by proposing the algorithm entitled “CE-CMAES" in Competition on Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Risk- based Energy Scheduling” at IEEE–WCCI and GECCO 2020 Conference.
- In 2019, Secured the 2nd place by proposing the algorithm entitled “HL_PS_VNSO " in Competition on “Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Operation and Planning Applications" at IEEE CEC 2021 & GECCO 2019.
- In 2018, Secured the 2nd place with prize money of $300 by proposing the algorithm entitled “EVDEPSO " in Competition on “Evolutionary Computation in the Energy Domain: Operation and Planning Applications" at IEEE– WCCI Conference.
