Brief history of Dhammachaya Buddhist Center

Venerable Kusalasami started his missionary works in the European countries when he arrived at Germany in 2014. He visited several countries and gave Dhamma Talks for Myanmar nationals. In 2015, he was invited Mr. Tin Nyaunt and the Buddhist people from Myanmar, who are living in Hørve, Denmark. Since then he occasionally have gone there, and given Dhamma talks.

In 2016, Venerable Kusalasami got the idea to establish Buddhist centers where-ever there was a need and therefore started to find suitable places. At the same time, he organized a fund to establish new Buddhist centers. When discussing the idea to the Myanmar Buddhists, who are living in Hørve, they requested Venerable Kusalasami to buy a suitable place near Hørve. They promised, that if Venerable bought a place for the center, then they will be take on the responsibility to maintain the place. Therefore Ven. Kusalasami decided to start a new center and returned to Myanmar to ask support for this new center.

Thanks to Ven. Sujata, Ven. Sumangala, Ven. Uttara, Ven. Vicitta, Ven. Uttamasara, Ko Myat Kyaw family, Ko Aung Myo Oo family, and Ko Win Kyaw Lin family, Ven. Kusalasami collected sufficient funds for the establishment of the new center. Meanwhile Myanmar Buddhists from Denmark, and other countries donated as much as they could. Finally we celebrated it with and opening ceremony of Dhammachaya Buddhist Center on 20^th July 2017.
