As Lord Shiva embodies both the ascetic and the protector, we aimed to reflect that duality, minimizing excess and maximizing impact by redistributing resources to those who truly require them.

Dhaara is honored to receive an international certificate from Voices of Specially Abled People (VOSAP) for our contribution to an international donation initiative. This recognition reflects our commitment to creating a meaningful impact beyond borders. The funds for this donation were raised through our efforts at the Christmas Carnival, where we put up stalls and exhibitions to support the cause. This certificate stands as a testament to the collective effort, generosity, and vision that Dhaara upholds in its mission for social change.

Amidst the festive spirit of Christmas, Dhaara embraced the essence of giving by participating in the Christmas Carnival at A4 Resorts, Jammu. It was not just an event. It was a testament to the power of creativity, purpose, and heartfelt generosity.

At the heart of this initiative was Chic n Charm, a small business of handcrafted beaded bracelets by Guhika Sachdev, affiliated with Dhaara. Every bracelet was more than an accessory. It was a symbol of dedication, intricately woven with artistry and the promise of a better tomorrow. With 100% of its earnings donated to Dhaara, Chic n Charm stands as a reflection of how passion and purpose can merge to create lasting change.

Alongside this, Dhaara showcased handmade fragrance bars, delicately crafted to add a touch of tranquility to any space. These bars, infused with organic essences, were more than just a product. They embodied a philosophy—the idea that even the simplest things can bring joy, and that small acts of kindness can ripple into something much greater.

A Voice for a Cause: Turning Music into Healing

Music holds the power to heal, unite, and inspire. During the devastating wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, as countless lives were affected and the world faced unprecedented hardship, I turned to music not just as an expression, but as a means to make a difference.

Through a YouTube music video, I was able to raise ₹1,11,000, an amount that symbolised far more than financial aid. It became a reflection of unity, kindness, and the unwavering belief that even in times of crisis, humanity prevails. Every note carried a purpose, every listener who contributed became part of a greater movement of hope and healing.

This entire sum was donated to GMC Jammu, supporting COVID-19 patients who were in urgent need of medical care. The pandemic tested the resilience of communities, but it also revealed the strength that comes from collective goodwill. It was not merely about giving, but about standing in solidarity with those who needed it most.

This experience reaffirmed my belief that every individual has the power to create change. When passion is guided by purpose, when talents are used to uplift others, and when kindness becomes the foundation of our actions, we do not just witness change, we become the reason for it.

Spreading Smiles: Free Dental Check-up Organised by Dhaara for Underprivileged Children

On 14 April ‘25 Dhaara, a youth-led initiative founded by Guhika Sachdev, organised a free dental check-up camp for underprivileged children, continuing its commitment to community welfare. The camp was conducted under the expert supervision of Dr. Amneet Kaur, a seasoned dental surgeon with over 22 years of experience, currently serving at the Government Dental College, Jammu.

Dr. Amneet, who has spent a major part of her career working across rural areas in Jammu, Samba, and Rajouri, has always believed in making healthcare accessible for all. Her voluntary support to this initiative reflects both her professional dedication and her personal compassion.

A large number of children received dental consultations and basic oral health awareness during the camp. Dr. Amneet also identified several students who required urgent follow-up dental care. Their names were shared with their respective teachers, with the suggestion that they be taken to the Government Dental Hospital in Gandhi Nagar or Amphalla for further treatment.

The initiative was smoothly executed by volunteers from Dhaara, who managed coordination, communication with teachers, and tracking of follow-ups. Guhika Sachdev, the founder of Dhaara and a student herself, expressed her gratitude to Dr. Amneet and all supporters for making the effort meaningful. She shared that small, consistent steps like these can have a long-lasting impact when people come together for a common cause. This initiative not only addressed immediate health concerns but also raised awareness about the importance of regular dental care in underserved communities.

With such efforts, Dhaara continues to drive meaningful change, powered by empathy, action, and the spirit of service.
