The CMSA Differential Geometry and Physics Seminar focuses on the differential geometry and topology of manifolds, with an emphasis on gauge theory in 3- and 4-dimensions such as Donaldson and Seiberg–Witten theories, Floer theory on symplectic manifolds, and enumerative geometry on manifolds with special holonomy, as well as their connections to theoretical physics, including string theory, for instance through mirror symmetry.
Seminar time and place: Thursdays 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in CMSA Room G10.
Organizers: Saman Habibi Esfahani and Max Hübner.
