• 2025.12.18 Dr. Dohun’s 5th paper on large angle twisted trilayer graphene has been accepted by Nano Letters. Yay!! Now it is time for his last(6th) paper!

• 2025.12.11 Dr. Soyun’s 3rd paper on ferroelectricity in α-RuCl3/Graphene  has been accepted by Nature Communications. Congratulations.

• 2025.10.01 We are starting a new grant, Quantum Dots in 2D Materials, supported by the NRF. Our partner is again the ETH Zurich team led by Prof. Thomas Ihn and Prof. Klaus Ensslin, who will be supported by the SNSF. We are very happy to extend our collaboration and look forward to exploring quantum dot phenomena together.

• 2024.07.25 We are going to start new Global Young Connect project for devleloping topological Qubits in twisted materials with Sogong Univ (Minsoo Kim), POSTECH(Gil-Ho Lee), KAIST(Gil Young Cho), and MIT(Long Ju).

• 2024.07.02 Yanni has been awarded a five-year scholarship for her Ph.D. program at Caltech from The Kwanjeong Educational Foundation. Fingers crossed for her new journey! 

• 2024.04.20 Our group has joined the Quantum Graduate School program (양자대학원) at POSTECH. Newbies will join the POSTECH-DGIST-UNIST Quantum Graduate School program for their Ph.D. degrees.

• 2024.03.31 Our project for collaborative research with Klaus Ensslin and Thomas Ihn at ETH Zurich has been accepted. The project, titled 'Spin and Valley Qubit in an All Van der Waals Heterostructure,' now receives support in Switzerland.

• 2024.03.20 Yanni has been selected for the 2024 Lindau Meeting as the representative graduate student from Korea.

• 2024.02.16 Yanni has been accepted into the Ph.D. program at Caltech! Yay!

• 2024.01.29 Youngwook's final project as a postdoc has been accepted for publication in Nano Letters. This achievement comes nearly 8 years after the initial observation of the parabolic fan diagram feature. LINK

• 2023.07.18 I'm pleased to announce that our research proposal on spin qubits research with ETH Zurich, Prof. Klaus Ensslin, has been accepted! This exciting opportunity allows us to establish a collaborative partnership with Klaus Ensslin, an esteemed expert in the field. 

• 2023.05.22 Soyun and Dohun's paper has been accepted to Advanced Science. Congratulation to Soyun for her very first paper and Dohun for second paper. Yay!

• 2022.12.06 We are starting a new project "Study of artificial anyon paring for topological quantum computer" supported by NRF( 양자정보과학 리더급 연구역량강화사업) 

• 2022.06.01 Our new research project "Microwave based quantum circuit for quantum communication"  is starting as of 2022.06.01. This funding is for "DGIST-US collabration research", our partner is Joseph Falson @ Caltech. Finally, we can start an official collaboration research.
