BACKGROUND
BACKGROUND
This project involves a passive direction-finding (DF) system that operates solely by receiving signals.
The primary objective is to determine the transmitter's "angle of arrival" (AOA) using phase interferometry.
By calculating the intersection of two AOA measurements, we can pinpoint the transmitter’s location.
To reduce costs, the implementation uses two DF systems based on 1800 Hz sound waves rather than RF frequencies.
Each DF system detects signals through two sound sensors and processes these signals using analog-to-digital conversion and specialized computer software.
