Welcome to the Year One page.
Year One is for girls aged 5-8 (with some exceptions up to the maximum age of 9).
What is Year One?
Year One is the first real level of egg training. Students are expected to have a basic understanding of what egg means, and be able to do basic skills well, especially since they are older in this leve. Level One still has an element of play involved, but they are introduced to the final goal of egg and what it means. Skills focus on;
reading full-ish books
writing passages
adding and subtracting
conversations
Sometimes, Year One and Junior Year are combined for practice. Year One has an emphasis on the outside world.
How To Move Up:
The running track on the Year One P.E portion of the test.
To move up from Year One, girls must pass the 3 Month Test with a score of 87% or higher. (Girls are told that this score of 87 is not a good score, but it is simply for moving up purposes.)
The "Year One Special" Class:
The point of this special class is to teach Year One girls specific things that they are learning, for their age. These skills focus on;
greetings
beginner gymnastics
coloring inside lines
and more
This class is separate from the other classes that are common for all years.
