THE BIRTH OF GEOMETRY DASH 

Hi ! My na me is Dewey (Cr aig s or ), and I a m go ing to tell you how Geometry Dash was create d! Geometry Dash is an amazing platformer video game on Newgrounds! The creator of Geometry Dash “RobTop” adored platformer gam es like “Super Mario Bros. ”. He eventually tried to make his own game on a website called “Newgrounds”! The Game he created is called “Bounce Ball Thingy”. It was a failed video game and it was very simple. He tried making a few more games, including a game called “Boomlings” . One day , h e came up with an idea once he saw a pop ular game called “The Impossible Game”. You might know what I’m Talking about. But if you don’t, it is a dead game of a orange square jumping over blocks and spikes. It had seven levels and it costed 3 Dollars! It realeased in 2009 and people stopped playing it in 2014. This game made RobTop Think of a remake of the impossible game that he could make. It was a square jumping over spikes, but he imagined some perks he could make. He made a game where you are a square and you jump over spikes and blocks, exept there was a level editor so you could make your own levels, you could change the look of your square, called the cube, you could play other players levels, there were 2 gamemo des, the cube and the ship. RobTop originally called this game “Geometry Jump”, but google play wouldn’t let him post a game with that name, so he thought of the name “Geometry Dash” and our beloved platformer was re le ased on Aug us t 13 , 2013 !
