I believe in fair compensation for quality work, so I charge an hourly rate rather than a flat rate to ensure that my time and effort are respected. Below is a breakdown of what you can expect in terms of time and cost for different stages of animation:
Rough Animations: Typically take between 6 to 8 hours. This stage includes the initial creation of movement and timing, without the final polish.
Cleaned-Up Animations: This is a more detailed and refined version, taking between 12 to 30 hours. It involves finalizing line work, adding details, and ensuring the animation flows smoothly.
Sketches are quickly done in stream, a timer is shown. They typically take 1 hour to 1.5 hours to complete. 30 usd to 45 usd.
Animations on 4s vs. 2s: Animations done on 4s (one drawing every four frames) will generally take less time than those on 2s (one drawing every two frames). I do not offer animations on 1s (one drawing per frame) as the increase in quality does not justify the additional time and cost.
Additional Fees: A 2.5% tax will be added to the final cost to cover associated fees.
I do not charge for animation planning work. This includes tasks like thumbnailing, taking reference, figuring out spacing and timing, etc. You are only billed for the actual animation work done in Clip Studio Paint.
I run a work timer that only operates when I am actively using Clip Studio Paint, ensuring that you are charged only for the actual labor, not the time I spend at my desk.
I provide a rough estimate before starting any project based on your specific needs. This estimate is not a flat rate but rather a projection of the time it will take to complete the work at my hourly rate. This approach ensures transparency and fairness, as you only pay for the time spent on your project.
As part of my commitment to transparency and client engagement, I am pleased to always offer live streaming of my work on Picarto. My schedule is flexible, and I’m more than happy to stream at a time that suits you. I see art not just as a craft, but also as a form of entertainment, where showmanship plays a crucial role. By sharing my process live, I hope to make you feel more connected to the work, fostering a sense of collaboration and inclusion. Whether you're curious about the intricacies of animation or simply enjoy watching the creative process unfold, my streams are a space where you can feel involved and valued.
I strive to be open, friendly, and welcoming, ensuring that you always feel like an integral part of the project. Your satisfaction is my priority, and I believe that inviting you to observe and engage with the work as it happens is a unique way to enhance your experience.
