Dr. Karan Babbar

Karan Babbar is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), OP Jindal Global University. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His research areas encompass various topics, including Gender, Health Policy, Health Economics, Health Psychology, and Development Economics. With a specific focus on Menstrual Health and Hygiene, Domestic Violence and Women Empowerment, LGBTQIA Issues, and Health and Sanitation, he actively contributes to the academic discourse in these areas.

Dr. Nilanjan Bhattacharya

Dr. Nilanjan Bhattacharya is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Centre for Research on the Economics of Climate, Food, Energy and Environment (CECFEE), Indian Statistical Institute Delhi. He completed his PhD in Economics from the Department of Economic Sciences, IIT Kanpur. His Ph.D. thesis titled ‘Essays in Development Economics: with special reference to West Bengal’ evaluates the effectiveness of an early childhood program and investigates the impact of forced migration on different behavioral aspects among refugees and natives in the Indian state of West Bengal. His research interest lies in the fields of Development Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Impact Evaluation, and Experimental Economics.

Dr. Garima Agarwal

Dr. Garima Agarwal is an Assistant Professor with the Economics Group at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She holds a PhD from Delhi School of Economics. She was also a Stephan Klasen Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Göttingen for 2022-23. Her research aims to understand and address barriers to human capital accumulation and economic participation for girls and women. Her doctoral dissertation considers the role of biological constraints such as puberty and menstruation in determining school participation for adolescent girls in India.

Miss Subarna Banerjee

Subarna Banerjee is a fourth-year PhD student from the Department of Economics, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. She is also a non-residential fellow of NCAER's National Data Innovation Cell (2023-2024). Her research interests lie in the field of applied development economics, with a focus on education, gender, and political economy.
