1. Introduction
Welcome to DevWorkbench ("the App"). DevWorkbench is an offline developer utility tool designed to help developers scrub secrets from logs, format JSON, and decode JWTs with zero security risks.
We believe that developer privacy and security are paramount. Our core rule is:
"Zero bytes of your data ever leave your device. The App does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or sell any personal or technical information."
2. Information Collection and Use
DevWorkbench operates 100% locally in your device's temporary memory (RAM).
• No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, usernames, phone numbers, or IP addresses.
• No Code or Log Collection: Any .env files, API keys, database connection strings, JWT tokens, or JSON payloads you paste into the app are processed entirely on your device. We have no servers, no remote databases, and no way to see what you paste.
• No Analytics or Telemetry: DevWorkbench does NOT use Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, or any third-party telemetry tools.
• No Advertising: DevWorkbench is completely free of ads, tracking pixels, and tracking cookies.
• No Account Required: You can use all features immediately without registering an account.
3. Device Permissions & Security
DevWorkbench is intentionally engineered without network capabilities:
• Zero Internet Access: DevWorkbench does NOT declare android.permission.INTERNET in its manifest. The operating system prevents the app from making any network calls or transmitting any data over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
• Clipboard Access: Used solely when you click the "Copy" button to save your formatted code or scrubbed secrets to your device's clipboard. DevWorkbench never monitors, reads, or records your background clipboard.
4. Third-Party Services
DevWorkbench does not integrate or share data with any third-party services, APIs, or software development kits (SDKs).
5. Children's Privacy
DevWorkbench does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not collect personally identifiable information from children.
6. Compliance with Privacy Regulations
Because DevWorkbench does not collect, process, or transmit personal data:
• It complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• It complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA).
• It satisfies the Google Play Developer Program Privacy Policy Guidelines.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
