The Development and Political Economics SF Bay Area Ph.D. Student Conference (DevPEC) is held annually and provides an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present and learn about research on development economics and political economy. Co-organized by Ph.D. students at UC Berkeley and Stanford University, DevPEC has been held since 2015, with the location rotating between the two campuses.

DevPEC 2025 was held from April 17-18, 2025 at UC Berkeley. The 2026 conference will be held at Stanford and the call for submissions will be released in late 2025.

DevPEC is generously supported by the Stanford King Center on Global Development, Berkeley Center for Economics and Politics (BCEP), and Berkeley Economy and Society Initiative (BESI).
