If Facebook were to get an expansion into China there would be many pros. I think Facebook would make a lot more revenue if a lot of Chinese users signed up because they would be able to charge more for their ads due to them getting more users on the website. Facebook being in China could harm some of Facebook's features like the marketplace, Chinese consumers could be vulnerable to some of the scams on the marketplace and so could US users as well, and it would take very long for you to return your item due to the distance. If Facebook stays out of China too long then people in China might make a media like Facebook that the government approves and the media could have the potential to attract US users away from Facebook which would not be good for their business. 

Personally, I think Facebook should continue to try to be approved for use in China, as it would benefit them immensely by providing them more revenue. Facebook would also benefit Chinese people with a way to keep up with their friends online and connect privately. Facebook would also give Chinese people a way to freely express their beliefs in their communist country.
