Community Profile Book

In 2017, Devon returned to Communities in Bloom by participating in the provincial novice (non-evaluated) edition. Since then, we’ve participated in the evaluated category two times (in 2019 and 2021), and the non-evaluated category four times (in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023). 

After being awarded five blooms in 2021, we  competed nationally for the first time in 2024 and won a 5 Blooms-Silver rating and the Heritage Conservation Award.

Our annual planning session includes a review of the CiB goals and the judges’ recommendations along with our committee members’ interests and abilities. Our committee members bring a variety of backgrounds and abilities which allows us to establish and maintain numerous activities.

With the support from the Town of Devon council and staff, we have been able to establish and maintain several activities for residents.  

We are grateful to live in a municipality where so many groups and individuals enhance the quality of life in our community. We are grateful to the Town Council and staff for their support.
