About Me

Presently, Deviram Garlapati holds the position of Project Scientist (Microbiology) at the National Centre for Coastal Research, which operates as an affiliated office under the Ministry of Earth Sciences in India. Within this role, he is primarily engaged in the Sea Water Quality Monitoring (SWQM) program. His key responsibilities involve the comprehensive analysis of the microbiological condition of coastal waters across India. With a professional journey spanning 11 years, he has garnered extensive expertise in the realm of microbial ecology. His proficiency extends to diverse habitats including soil, marine environments, freshwater bodies, hypersaline habitats, brackish waters, and even polar regions. Over the course of his career, Deviram Garlapati has showcased his prowess through the publication of 34 research articles and a notable contribution as an author to a book chapter in his field of study.
