Devilled Toads is a blog about the natural world. It was created by a biology student at the University of Birmingham with a passion for animals extinct and extant. We cover everything from zoo reviews to the latest scientific research, discussions on nature documentaries to developments in conservation. New articles are posted frequently, so keep an eye on this space!

Everybody loves the giant extinct frog Beelzebufo, often known as the Devil Toad. Its antics of eating baby dinosaurs and rolling down hills have garnered it much deserved fame, and we on the blog team have taken a special liking to it. That's why we decided to name ourselves in its honour, and to give it a unique spin we combined it with the name of a classic eggy snack, the deviled egg, for a fun play on words. If you're keen to learn more about Beelzebufo, we're hoping to write an article about it in the near future, so stay tuned.
