Deven grew up on a small town dairy farm in NE Wisconsin. He attended and graduated from NDSU with his Bachelor's degree in Soil Science, minoring in Crop Science. Deven has worked for NDSU, the USDA-NRCS, Forest Service, North Dakota Grain Inspection, a soil lab, a pharma company as a Quality Inspector and Performance Auditor, and Office Management for a water company. He enjoys applying his knowledge and skillset in different ways wherever he goes.
Deven resided in Fargo, ND for about 20 years. He moved to Enderlin, ND, returning to small town life to raise his family.
He enjoys traveling all over the state, meeting new people. This state has so much beauty and natural resourses to offer. It's such a joy to travel for business or pleasure anywhere you go in the great state of North Dakota. He could not be a more proud citizen of the state.
Deven is vigilant in civil engagement and works closely with groups like the North Dakota Young Republicans, Turning Point USA, and The Sons of Liberty. The Sons of Liberty emerged and organized in 2021 to counter government mandates and policies. Sons of Liberty has helped develop scholarship programs, fund food drives, held fundraise for community betterment projects, raised over $150k for the Tioga wildfires, multiple fundraisers for persons with cancer, voluneteered and fundraised for Great Plains Food Bank, as well as support local candidates for multiple races in North Dakota. The newest goal for SOL is working with Turning Point USA & Club America to start new chapters within the State.
Deven stands for "fair play and square deals." He is morally driven, honest, and transparent. Deven strives to always remember his roots and remains humble before the Lord.
