Devanshu Studios ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application PyMaster ("the App") collects, uses, stores, and discloses your information when you use our service.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
Codename / Display Name: A nickname you choose during onboarding. This is stored locally and, if Cloud Sync is enabled, on our Firebase servers. This is not your real name.
Google Account (Optional): If you choose to enable Cloud Backup, we authenticate via Google Sign-In. We store your Google email address and User ID solely to associate your learning progress with your account. This feature is entirely optional.
Learning Progress: XP, Coins, lesson completions, and chapter unlocks are stored locally on your device by default. We do not access this data unless you enable Cloud Sync.
Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs and stack traces are sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. These do not include personally identifiable information (PII).
Usage Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous app usage events (e.g., lesson started, quiz completed) are sent to Firebase Analytics to improve the App. This is disabled for verified minor users.
Advertising ID (GAID): If you have not opted out of ad personalisation in your Android settings, Google AdMob may use your Advertising ID to serve relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of this at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features
Personalise your learning experience
Display advertisements to support the free version of the App
Send optional daily study reminder notifications (which you can disable at any time)
Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each processes data according to their own privacy policies, which we strongly encourage you to review:

We are not responsible for the data practices of these third-party services. Their collection and use of information is governed solely by their respective privacy policies.
The App provides optional AI-powered tutoring ("AI Hints") powered by Google's Gemini models.
AI responses are generated by large language models and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain errors ("hallucinations"). We provide no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or correctness of any AI-generated content. We are not liable for any damages or consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated advice, code, or explanations.
When you use AI Hints, the specific code snippet or quiz question you are working on is sent to Google's Generative AI service for processing. We do not send your name, email, or account details to the AI service.
"Unlimited" AI Hints access for Pro subscribers is subject to a Fair Use Policy: personal, non-automated, educational use only. We reserve the right to throttle, cap, or suspend AI access for accounts that show signs of automated usage, excessive requests (e.g., more than 100 requests per day), or scraping.
We reserve the right to modify, limit, switch AI providers, or discontinue AI features at any time without prior notice to ensure the sustainability and economic viability of the service. No refunds will be issued based on changes to AI features or usage limits.
Free users of the App may see advertisements served by Google AdMob.
Ads comply with Google's Ads Policy and the Better Ads Standards.
Child-directed ad treatment is applied for users under 13, as detected by Google Play's Age Signals.
Personalised ads are only shown to users who have consented via the standard Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent form shown on first launch.
You may opt out of interest-based advertising at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
All financial transactions are processed securely by the Google Play Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or banking information on our servers at any time.
Subscription cancellations must be made through the Google Play Store (Settings → Subscriptions). Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.
The App requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:

We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or files.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We use Google Play's Age Signals (SB 2420 API) to detect users under 13. For such users:
All advertising is disabled
Analytics collection is disabled
In-app purchases are blocked
No personally identifiable information is collected
If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, we will immediately delete it from our servers. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact us at bhanunagpure453@gmail.com.
Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or manually delete your account.
Cloud data (Firebase) is retained until you request deletion as described in Section 11.
Crash logs (Firebase Crashlytics) are retained for up to 90 days.
Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) is retained for up to 14 months as per Firebase defaults.
Once a deletion request is processed, the action is irreversible. We do not retain backups of deleted user accounts.
In compliance with Google Play's User Data policies, you may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Method 1 — In-App (Instant):
Open PyMaster → Profile tab
Scroll to "Legal & Account"
Tap "Delete Account / Reset Data"
Confirm the action
All local and cloud data is permanently deleted immediately.

We will process and confirm deletion within 30 days.
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data and are not liable for unauthorised access that is beyond our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Devanshu Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or INR 500, whichever is greater).
We are not responsible for any loss of learning progress due to device failure, uninstallation, or data corruption outside our control.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
