I am recruiting PhD students for the December 2025 application cycle
If you are have a strong broadly interested in data-driven algorithms, market design/game theory, and/or applications in large-scale socio-technical systems, such as transportation and electricity markets, please send me an email, attaching your CV and why you are interested in working with me.
Students interested in joining my group should apply to Georgia Tech’s ISyE PhD program and mention my name in their application materials.
The ideal candidate has a strong mathematical and programming background and is also excited about connecting theoretical work to real-world applications.
I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University's Data Science Institute (DSI), working with Adam Elmachtoub and Sharon Di. I will be joining Georgia Tech as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2026 in the H. Milton Steward School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE).
My research blends ideas from operations research, economics, and computer science to develop data-driven learning algorithms and incentive schemes for socially sustainable market design, with applications in future mobility systems, electricity markets, and artificial currency markets (e.g., Fisher markets).
I received my PhD in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, where I was a Thomas C. Nelson Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellow and was advised by Marco Pavone, Yinyu Ye, and Michael Ostrovsky. Prior to Stanford, I received my BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering and BA in Applied Mathematics from University of California Berkeley.
PhD in Computational and Mathematical Engineering, Stanford University, 2019-2025
B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and B.A. in Applied Mathematics, University of California Berkeley, 2015-2019
