GOAL

To lead the mechanical design, fabrication, and integration of a competition robot capable of completing game-specific objectives reliably under strict performance, size, and time constraints.

CHALLENGES

• Designing robot subsystems within strict weight and dimensional limitations

• Coordinating fabrication and assembly under aggressive build deadlines

• Resolving mechanical failures identified during testing and competition

• Ensuring integration between mechanical, electrical, and programming systems

• Created detailed CAD models of robot subsystems prior to fabrication to reduce manufacturing errors and improve assembly efficiency

• Led fabrication and mechanical assembly using hand tools, shop equipment, and rapid prototyping methods

• Organized build schedules and delegated fabrication tasks to maintain progress under competition timelines

• Conducted iterative testing and troubleshooting to identify structural and performance weaknesses

• Collaborated closely with electrical and programming teams to ensure compatibility between hardware and control systems

• Implemented rapid mechanical fixes during competitions to improve reliability and robot performance
