Step 1: Download Server DVL 

Option A from Microsoft Store: ( Windows 10 or 11 )

To begin using the Server DVL app, the first step is to download the server software from the Microsoft Store. Here's how you can do it:

1. Open Microsoft Store:

   • On your Windows computer, click on the Start Menu and search for Microsoft Store. Click on the Microsoft Store app to open it.

2. Search for Server DVL:

   • Once the Microsoft Store is open, locate the search bar at the top of the window. Type Server DVL into the search bar and press Enter.

3. Select Server DVL:

   • From the search results, find the app named Server DVL. Click on the app to open its product page.

4. Download and Install:

   • On the Server DVL product page, click the Get or Install button. The app will start downloading and automatically install on your computer.

5. Open the App:

   • Once installed, you can either click the Launch button from the Microsoft Store or find Server DVL in your Start Menu to open it.

After following these steps, you'll have the Server DVL app installed and ready to use on your computer. Proceed to the next step to learn how to set it up and connect your Android device.

Option B from itch.io : ( Windows 7 or 8 )

1. Visit itch.io:

   • Open your web browser and navigate to the official itch.io page for Server DVL.

     1. Server DVL free version : Server DVL (Free) by Abdelhakim Mahha (itch.io) 

     2. Server DVL pro vrsion : Server DVL (Pro) by Abdelhakim Mahha (itch.io) 

2. Select the Version:

   • On the itch.io page, locate the section for Server DVL and choose the appropriate version for your system: 32-bit or 64-bit for Windows 7 and 8.

3. Download the Installer:

   • Click on the download link for the selected version to get the installer file for Server DVL.

4. Save the Installer:

   • Choose a location on your computer to save the downloaded installer file. Remember where you saved it for the installation process.

5. Check .NET Framework Requirement:

   • Ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 is installed on your system. If it’s not installed, download and install it before proceeding.

6. Prepare for Installation:

   • Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that your system meets the necessary requirements for running Server DVL.

Step 2: Connect Your Android Mobile Phone to Your PC via Wi-Fi or USB Tethering

To establish a connection between your Android mobile phone and your PC, you can use either Wi-Fi, USB tethering, or by enabling the hotspot feature on your mobile device. Follow the steps for your preferred method:

Option A: Connecting via Wi-Fi

1. Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Network:

   • Make sure your Android phone and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Connect Your Android Phone:

   • Open the Settings app on your Android device.

   • Go to Wi-Fi and select your Wi-Fi network. Enter the password if prompted.

Option B: Connecting via USB Tethering

1. Connect Your Phone to PC:

   • Use a USB cable to connect your Android phone to your PC.

2. Enable USB Tethering (Important):

   • On your Android phone, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering.

   • Toggle on USB tethering. This will allow your PC to use your mobile device's internet connection.

Option C: Enabling Hotspot on Your Mobile Phone (Recomended)

1. Enable Mobile Hotspot:

   • Open the Settings app on your Android device.

   • Go to Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering.

   • Toggle on Mobile Hotspot. You may need to configure the hotspot settings, such as network name and password.

2. Connect Your PC to the Hotspot:

   • On your PC, open the Wi-Fi settings and look for the hotspot network name that you set up on your mobile device.

   • Select the network and enter the password to connect.

Once you've established the connection using any of these methods, your Android device will be ready to communicate with your PC for further setup in the tutorial.

Step 3: Connect Remote AIO to the Server

To connect your Remote AIO app to the Server DVL, you have two options: Automatic Connection and Manual Connection. Follow the instructions for your preferred method:

Option A: Automatic Connection

1. Open Remote AIO App:

   • Launch the Remote AIO app on your Android device.

2. Search for the PC:

   • Look for a Search button on the app’s main interface and tap it. The app will start scanning your local network for available PCs running the Server DVL.

3. Select Your PC:

   • Once the app detects your PC, it will display its name or address along with an option labeled "Connect to this PC."

4. Connect:

   • Tap the "Connect to this PC" button. The app will establish a connection with the Server DVL on your PC.

Option B: Manual Connection

1. Find the IP Address:

   • On your PC, open the Server DVL app. The app will display its IP address on the main interface.

2. Open Remote AIO App:

   • Launch the Remote AIO app on your Android device.

3. Enter the IP Address:

   • In the app, look for the option to enter the server IP address. Type in the IP address displayed on your PC.

4. Connect:

   • After entering the IP address, tap the Connect button. The app will attempt to establish a connection to the Server DVL using the provided IP address.

After completing these steps, your Remote AIO app should be successfully connected to the Server DVL on your PC. You can now proceed to use the app's features to control your computer!
