Here, we are distributing additional information on the Android clock widget app "Tokewyimodoki".

Limitations

Foreground Service

Android 14 (Upside Down Cake) or later, users need to permit this app to use foreground services. Some features can be used without the foreground service, but functionality may be limited.

Add widget

The function to add widget on the home screen from the setting screen is available on Android 8.0 or later. For previous models, please add widget by touch and hold the home screen.

Refine your search

File name narrowing in local content search is supported on Android 10 or later.

Four corners of the widget

Android 12 or later, the four corners of the widget may be cropped.

Font

The default font is automatically set if an unsupported format or corrupted font file is selected. Support for fonts may differ depending on the OS.

RTL display

This app does not support RTL display. Therefore, depending on the setting language, the layout may not be as intended.

Local Data

This app saves the set image and font data and its file name in the device as a local file of this app. These files serve as cached data, but there is no function for users to explicitly delete them. If you want to completely delete the set data, clear the storage from the system settings.

Memory shortage detection

If the app detects a memory shortage, it will automatically return the image quality to the standard setting in order to avoid adversely affecting the system and continue operation. In this state, a warning message will be displayed when you start the app's settings indicating that there is a memory shortage. If this situation occurs, we apologize for the inconvenience, but please consider reviewing the Drawing settings.

Detecting unintended termination

If it detects that the app's service has terminated unexpectedly, it will suppress background processing and not update the widget display in order to avoid adversely affecting the system. This state will be canceled by performing an operation such as returning to the home screen after starting the settings of this app once.

Saving and initializing settings

Settings that do not affect appearance are intentionally excluded from being saved or initialized. There is also a setting that does not save to a file even if it can be restored to the initial state.

Advanced settings

If the information for vertical writing cannot be obtained from the font, the information for vertical writing is generated from the information for horizontal writing. When using font information, the glyph direction follows the font. For example, full-width tilde may be mirror-inverted depending on whether or not they are set. Only CBDT/CBLC is supported for information for vertical writing in color fonts. Other color fonts use information for horizontal writing. Voiced and semi-voiced sound mark are displayed overlaid on the previous character. For this reason, visibility may decrease. Tate-chu-yoko does not reflect the information for vertical writing included in the font. The monospace feature may differ from the display expected by the font. Some half-width characters may be adjusted for vertical writing. If the weather forecast exceeds the maximum number of lines, the text omitted in vertical writing may be different from horizontal writing.

Extra top and bottom padding

Extra top and bottom padding does not work in vertical writing.

Fahrenheit temperature

The Fahrenheit temperature is calculated by converting the Celsius temperature obtained from the source and then rounding to the nearest whole number.

Palette transparency

Palette transparency overlaps with the transparency by function. Also, text tiles are affected by palette transparency. Please note that the shadow of the text is generated based on the text without outlines.

Dark theme Settings

Dark Theme Settings are supported on Android 9 or later. The effect of the Invert Palette Colors function overlaps with the effect of the Invert Gradient function in Change Recipe.

Interpolation Algorithm

Some combinations of settings may be affected by the system's interpolation algorithm, which is bilinear sampling.

Weather Forecast

The update interval of the weather forecast varies from 1 to 12 hours depending on the region. If the setting to display the weather forecast is not specified, the weather forecast update will not function. If the delivered data is from the Japan Meteorological Agency, the forecast area search might detect neighboring regions with overlapping forecast ranges rather than the administrative divisions to which the keyword belongs.

Restore

Restoring recipes verifies the identity of existing settings and content, while restoring app settings replaces everything, assuming it has already been verified. Therefore, restoring recipes may take longer.

Weather forecasts may not be able to search for verified keywords

Android 12 and earlier models use deprecated services. This can cause problems. If this situation occurs, please consider migrating to Android 13 or later, or using alternative search terms.

When the font is changed, the display position shifts depending on the time

In proportional fonts, the size of each character is not uniform, so the display position changes depending on the combination. Due to consideration of the balance between the appearance and visibility of proportional fonts, this app provides only simple measures.

Can't change image
