This privacy policy applies to the T9 Dumbphone Minimal Launcher app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Footprint (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application is designed as an offline-first utility. All sensitive data is processed locally on your device to provide the core launcher and detox features.Â
To provide its functionality, the Application requires the following permissions, which are used as described:
- Launcher Functionality (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): To act as your home screen, the Application requires access to the list of installed packages to display and launch your apps.
- Screen Time & Detox (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): To track app usage and provide detox statistics, the Application accesses usage data. This data stays entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
- Strict Blocking & Navigation (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE): The Application utilizes an Accessibility Service to provide "Hardcore Detox" features (preventing the opening of blocked apps) and to enable vintage D-Pad navigation. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, keystrokes, or screen content via this service.
- Shake-to-Sleep (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE & WAKE_LOCK): To provide persistent shake detection for screen locking, the Application runs a foreground service. This ensures the accelerometer monitoring remains active for immediate response.
- Device Persistence (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): This allows the Application to automatically restart its launcher and detox services after your device reboots, ensuring continuous protection.
2. Local Storage
User-defined preferences, such as custom T9 layouts, pitch-black themes, and app blocklists, are stored locally on your device. This information is never shared with third parties or external servers.
3. Third Party Access
The Application may utilize third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. These are used only for localized ad delivery (AdMob) and basic app performance monitoring:

4. Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device.
5. Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider does not store any personal data on external servers. All data processed by permissions (Usage Stats, Package Lists) is handled in real-time or stored locally and is deleted when the Application is uninstalled. For assistance, contact support@footprint.co.in.
6. Children
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
7. Security
We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. As an offline-first app, your data is as secure as your mobile device.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Application is considered approval of all changes.
