For eons, the concept of time travel lingered in the realm of fantasy, deemed an impossibility by even the brightest minds. That is, until someone invented it. As the shackles of linear time were cast aside, the universe underwent a paradoxical transformation. The invention of time travel didn't merely rewrite the future; it rewrote the past, present, and every moment that ever existed or would exist. Like a ripple in a cosmic pond, the knowledge of time travel propagated infinitely, teaching those who came before how to bend the laws of nature to their will. Time travel was no longer a dream; it was an inescapable reality that permeated every fiber of existence, forever altering Time and Space...

The invention of time travel brought chaos to the universe. So-called “Temporal Flux Zones” began propagating throughout time and space, causing paradoxes and timeline instability. Unscrupulous individuals and groups, seeking personal gain or historical manipulation, began exploiting the temporal flux zones - an act known as TimeCrime. Across all of time and space, the Tempus Agency was formed, destroyed, and formed again. Their mission was always the same: stabilize the Flux Zones, stop TimeCrime, and protect the timeline. Each iteration of Tempus recruited Detectives to take on this difficult mission and gave them the ultimate time travel device: The CARDIS (Crime and Relative Dimension in Space). These Detectives stay anonymous, known only by their codenames, to minimize their effects on the time-stream.

And while their mission is always the same, each Detective has a unique investigative style and philosophy, leading to diverse approaches to solving temporal mysteries...
