Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 August 2026
Detective Casebook does not collect, transmit, or share any information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers. The game runs entirely on your device.
What the app stores
Your progress is saved locally on your device, in the app's own private storage. That is the whole of it:
Saved
What it is
case_chapters
Which chapters and rooms you have unlocked and completed
placed_objects
Which objects you have placed in each room
collected_evidence
Evidence cards you have extracted
deductions
Which deduction slots you have connected
findings
Notes recorded against rooms you have searched
user_profile
Your in-game rank, experience, sovereigns and magnifiers
seen_openings
Which chapter openings you have already watched
None of this is personal information. None of it leaves your device. It is not readable by us or by anyone else — we operate no service that could receive it.
What the app does not do
No data collection. Nothing about you or your device is gathered.
No network requests. The app makes none. It works fully offline.
No analytics or crash reporting. No third-party SDKs of any kind.
No advertising. No ad network is present in the app.
No in-app purchases. Nothing in this version can be bought.
No accounts or sign-in. You are never asked to identify yourself.
No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.
Permissions
The app declares one Android permission, INTERNET. It is added automatically by the Capacitor framework the app is built on, and the game makes no network requests. No other permission is requested.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, children included. Note that the story deals with adult subject matter — murder, poisoning and an abduction — and is rated accordingly on Google Play. Please check the content rating before deciding whether it is suitable.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it has saved. You can also clear it from Android Settings → Apps → Detective Casebook → Storage → Clear data, which resets your progress. There is nothing held anywhere else to delete.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds anything that collects or transmits data — for example in-app purchases or advertising — this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the Play listing's Data Safety section will be updated in the same release.
