Building a context-rich AI tool
The Council for Strategic and Defense Research (CSDR), New Delhi is working on a project titled 'Quantification of Harm Potential of Social Media Content in India'. This project is being done in collaboration with Unreal-Tece LLP, Agra and is being funded by Logically.ai, UK. The project aims to develop a mechanism to detect real world harm potential of texts posted across various social media platforms in India and to build a proportionate response mechanism for the same. The translatability of harm from online domain to offline scenarios is being analysed from a socio-political and linguistic perspective. The project focuses on uncovering the attributes and features that make a text less or more harmful in any given discourse context. With this project, the team hopes to contribute, in terms of framework and design innovations and increased efficacy of the end product, to the current Machine Learning driven Natural Language Processing solutions being worked upon across the board to counter the emerging threats of an increasingly online global population.
