Week 2:
Notes:
Use the key signatures from the music to collect all of the scales from the pieces "Aria" and "Vanishing Point". When all scales/keys have been identified, practice them all until they sound good, 2 octaves if possible, and then play them into flipgrid.
Rhythm:
Work synchronously with teacher guidance to gain rhythmic literacy relevant to our music.


Week 3:
Tone Production:
Analyze each piece and create a summary of all of your dynamics. Create and submit a short, one-note piece using all of these same dynamics. Perform the one-note song using all of these dynamics in flipgrid.


Week 4:

Analyze each piece and create a summary of all of your articulations. Create and submit a short, one-note piece using all of these same articulations. Perform the one-note song using all of these articulations in flipgrid.

Week 5:
Performance Skills:
1. Create a list of all measures of your music which you can't immediately play and a description of why.
2. Create a strategy for learning each of the measures or sections that you just identified. Record yourself into flipgrid using one of your strategies that you feel most proud of.
3. Share your plan with one friend and critique each other's plans. What can you improve? What big ideas or ways of thinking can you steal from the other person?

Virtual students: you will record these segments into Flipgrid.

1. Find friends from band who have different numbered parts from you (1-5). Choose a section from Aria that lasts about 1 minute and a section from Vanishing Point that lasts about 1 minute.

3. Upload your mp3 file to Canvas.
