Solo and Ensemble Competition

Where: Roosevelt HS; link: https://goo.gl/maps/ZnTPyQjd84T2

When: April 6, 2019 Arrive 1 hour before your performance time.

Attire: Concert Attire

Notes:

1. Make sure to have your originals and ballot. Sometimes a judge may keep your originals. I will collect any leftovers at the end of the day.

2. You may leave your stuff in the gym.

3. They try to be quick about posting scores (gym) but sometimes there are hold ups.

4. I will be there all day. I am going to try to record everyone but you can decline that if you wish.

5. Don't panic if your accompanist is late. This is a common issue and it's ok to go out of order.

6. Concessions food will be available in the cafeteria. I'm assuming cash only.

7. Parking: they would like everyone to park in the north lot or on Chamberlain. They recommend entering through the main doors. Transportation is on your own.

8. Remember to give a short introduction. (Over-done scripts provided below.)

9. Parents are encouraged to watch their students perform. The performances are open to anyone but the room can be cleared if the performer(s) request it.

10. Usually, you will hand your music/ballot to the door person who will give it to the judge. Every now and then, you may end up handing them directly to the judge. The judge will look up and give you a nod or some signal that they're ready to listen and they may still be writing in the ballot from the last performance.
