What's Gnu?

During the spring of 2024 Grown Agency of St Louis spent a day at this guy's place:      Halcyon Forge Handcrafted Kitchen Knives in Missouri.  Joe custom makes knives and the process is amazing.  Part artwork, part chef-inspired, part old-school physical labor. This was shot without sound, so they asked me to create some sound design to match the visuals, after bringing Joe in to the studio to record his interview, which is the narration you'll hear in the video.  Having not witnessed this process in person, I was concerned that my sound would not be accurate, but everybody, including Joe, approved!  

Fun sound design for this corporate piece.  It's got robotos, UI text sfx, mechanical footsteps in reverb, fun beats, glass breaking, and great animation by Josh @ The Forge Media St louis.  

February 2024:  Completed all dialog recording for the Sadness character in Pixar's "INSIDE OUT II" feature film, set to be released this summer.  We recorded Phyllis Smith in our St Louis studio with live direction from the film's director and production team who were in Pixar's studio in San Francisco.  This process began a couple of years ago when travel was limited due to the pandemic.
