Portraiture Mood

How do photographers use lighting to create mood? They use light to create mood by using the amount of light can either brighten up a photo or make the photo sadder as the photo appears to people to be gloomy and sad.

What is your favorite idea for your project and why? My favorite idea for a photo is to take a photo that has someone look really happy and attempt to make it look gloomy and sad. This is my favorite idea because it shows that a photo can easily be changed from a happy atmosphere to a sad a depressing atmosphere.

What was one change you made to your project? One change I made was to make sure that take photos have plenty of light as this would help show the other person's face.

What was your most successful decision during the project? My most successful decision during this project was taking the photo of Cory as it really helped show how making something black and white would make seem a lot more serious.

What are some areas of improvement you need to address? Some areas I need to improve on is time management.
