Dropzy is a grocery and everyday essentials delivery app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Dropzy customer app on Android or iOS.
## Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run the app, deliver orders, process payments, keep your account secure, and improve reliability.
### Account and Login
- Phone number used for OTP login.
- OTP verification details needed to confirm your login.
- Name and email address if you add them to your profile or order details.
### Delivery and Location
- Delivery address, address label, recipient name, and recipient phone number.
- Latitude and longitude for saved addresses or selected map locations, used to check serviceability, assign the right store, and deliver orders.
- Location permission is used only when you choose location-based features, such as selecting your current location on the map.
### Shopping and Orders
- Cart items, quantities, coupons, order totals, delivery fee, taxes, and order history.
- Delivery notes or instructions that you choose to add.
- Order status and payment status so we can show tracking, history, and support information.
### Payments
- Selected payment method, payment status, order amount, Razorpay order ID, Razorpay payment ID, and related verification details.
- Dropzy does not store your full card, UPI, net banking, or wallet details. Those details are handled by Razorpay and the relevant payment providers.
### Device, Notifications, and App Usage
- Device push notification token, platform, and device identifier so we can send order and account notifications.
- Basic app usage, diagnostics, crash, and performance information to understand whether the app is working correctly.
- On Android, Google SMS Retriever may help read the OTP code from the verification SMS. The app does not read your personal SMS messages.
## How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and secure your account.
- Send and verify OTPs.
- Show available products and stores for your delivery area.
- Save addresses and deliver orders.
- Manage cart, checkout, coupons, payments, refunds, order tracking, and order history.
- Send important notifications about login, payments, orders, delivery, and service updates.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate checkout, and payment errors.
- Debug issues, measure app reliability, and improve the app.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and security requirements.
## How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only when needed to provide the service, including with:
- Delivery, store, and operations teams who need order and address details to fulfill your order.
- Payment providers such as Razorpay to process and verify payments.
- Google and Firebase services for maps, location support, app messaging, analytics, diagnostics, and push notifications.
- Backend hosting, database, and infrastructure providers that help operate Dropzy.
- Legal, government, or security authorities if required by law or needed to protect users, Dropzy, or others.
## Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain your account, support orders and refunds, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent misuse.
You can request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting us. Some records may be kept where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, payment, or order history reasons.
## Your Choices
- You can update delivery addresses in the app.
- You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- You can deny or disable location permission, but location-based address selection and delivery serviceability checks may be limited.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
## Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to people and systems that need it.
## Third-Party Services
Dropzy uses third-party services that may process information under their own privacy policies, including:
- Razorpay for payment processing.
- Google Maps and Google Location services for maps, address selection, and serviceability.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
- Firebase Analytics and diagnostics tools to understand app usage and reliability.
- Google SMS Retriever on Android for OTP autofill support.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the effective date and may notify you in the app or by other appropriate means.
