Meet DeShaun
My name is DeShaun Cross, and I am currently a 20 year old from San Francisco, California. I am pursuing my degree in history with a minor in Communications at Dominican University of California. I enjoy things like playing sports, watching movies, racing and cars, reading books, hanging out with friends, and video games. Some of my favorite sports include Lacrosse, American Football, and Australian Rules Football.
Education
I went to Archbishop Riordan High school in San Francisco, California. I graduated in early 2023 with a 3.8 accumulative GPA, taking classes such as AP Economics, AP Environmental Sciences, Advanced Video Production, as well as a few dozen other classes throughout my high school career.
Strengths
Some of my strengths include my ability to listen, my ability to learn, and my ability to show my passion through my work. These strengths have allowed me to achieve success all throughout my schooling, and especially in my athletic career.
My Family
My family includes My Mother Anita, My Father Patrick, My sister Chantelle, Myself, and our Dog Bruce. My Dad is originally from Australia, while my Mom is from Southern California. They both moved to San Francisco during their early adulthood, where they met each other through our church. They adopted me and my sister from birth.
Why Dominican?
I chose Dominican for its exceptional education abilities, amazing personel, breath-taking campus, and incredible lacrosse team. I knew that I had wanted to stay close to home from the start of my college applications, but I also knew that I wanted to play Lacrosse on college. I also wanted a college with small class sizes, as that is what allows me me to work at my best. With that in mind, one of the few places that fit my criteria was Dominican. And after taking a recruting visit up her for Lacrosse, I fell in love with everything Dominican. A week later, I was admitted to the school, and the rest is history.
