Welcome to our site!
This site is to show off our beautiful miniature dachshunds. We are a family that love dachshunds, and over time have gotten addicted to the little guys. Starting out with our first altered red male that has since passed away and adding a few more along the way.
Our dachshunds are part of our family, inside and always under foot, or under the covers, laundry, or blankets, I should say. They are first and foremost our pets and live in our home, with any pups I have being raised in our kitchen. I get all color and coat types just out of the few dogs I have. My main goal is to produce lovable family companions with great temperaments.
Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help in finding your forever friend.
All our dachshunds are registered with either the American Kennel Club(AKC) or Continental Kennel Club(CKC)
Breeding great tempered dogs is very important to me because that's what I had the hardest time finding when I bought my first few dachshunds years back.
I strive for Great companion dogs. Doxies still should be socialized when young. When raised around kids and strangers, they will love kids and strangers.
The Dachshund is a short-legged, elongated dog breed of the hound family.
The breed's name is German and literally means "badger dog" (der Dachs - badger; der Hund - dog).
The breed was developed to scent, chase, hunt, and kill badgers and other hole-dwelling animals.
Due to their long, narrow build, they are sometimes referred to in the United States and elsewhere as "wiener dogs" or "sausage dogs".
AKC Size, Proportion, Substance
Bred and shown in two sizes, standard and miniature, miniatures are not a separate classification but compete in a class division for "11 pounds and under at 12 months of age and older."
Weight of the standard size is usually between 16 and 32 pounds.
And what they call tweenies are dachshunds that weigh in between the minis and the standards.
Frankie Jay sure is the sweetest little boy ever Lisa!! He's become our little baby. We absolutely adore him! He goes everywhere with us and loves car rides. I carry him in a baby sling and he's the star of the show wherever we go. He's so ...smart! He's pretty much potty trained now, knows sit, lay down, and shake-and learning more every day! He's going to see the vet on Friday for his puppy plan (finishing vaccines, neutering etc.) Just wanted to let you know he's doing really good and we just love him to pieces!
Just had to share these she is almost 4 months old and just got her wings and is just too adorable for words.
Luis, who always said he would never dress his dog up in clothes went out last weekend & bought her TWO Easter dresses!!! What a hoot!!! She is, definitely Daddy's little girl!Puppy kisses to you all-Lois
Hi Lisa I got the DVD. Thank you so much and thanks for documenting their lives, that's just not something you could ever get from a pet store. The little guy is doing great, I've been bringing him to work and he is a complete angel here. At home he is a little wild man. We are already training him to come to us and give us kisses. It helps that he loves treats so much, but don't tell him his treats are actually just a different brand of puppy food
All pups will have left my home healthy with their first vaccines and a number of de-wormings.
Vaccine record, care sheet, registration, and a guarantee is included.
Also new babies come with a sent blanket to help there transition into their new home easier.
