Thank you for visiting my personal website!
I am Giacomo, from Rome, Italy and I’m currently in my second year as an ISER PhD student in Economics at the University of Essex.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Health Economics from Sapienza, Università di Roma, and started my PhD project in October 2023, focusing on Pregnancy and Early Childhood.
Under the supervision of Professor Michaela Benzeval and Dr. Edith Aguirre, I’m part of the Understanding Society team, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), through the SeNSS program.
My research interests lie in child health, health economics, household economics, applied econometrics and labor economics.
Additionally, starting by January 2025, I am helping the Family Team in Understanding Society as a Research Assistant. The aim of the project I am working at is to improve the quality of the data on families in the survey, and to add value for researchers to incentivate the use of the rich source of information given by UKHLS.
