The conservation Landscape area, which is located just below the stormwater drain, is divided into two parts. This area's main purpose is to slow and absorb much of the stormwater from a 1 to 2 inch rain.

Tree-Mendous, a program of the Maryland Forest Service, offers deep discounts on small trees and shrubs to public land and community open spaces like ours. We took advantage of the this program by augmenting the common area with more native plants in Fall 2015.
Our HOA was award a $1500 grant, which fully funded the trees planted in two other HOA common areas in Fall 2014.
