Founded in 2024 by Drew Derengowski, our foundation operates on a merit-based approach. Students seeking to participate in this program must complete a digital curriculum covering essential life skills that they otherwise may not have exposure or access to in a traditional school setting. 

What sets the Derengowski Foundation apart is our commitment to assistance and holistic education. We believe in empowering students by providing access to digital curriculum covering essential life skills such as Drivers Education, FAFSA 101, Personal Finance, Adulting 101, Teen Health and Wellness, Respect for Authority, and Social-Emotional Learning. By investing in education, we aim to equip the youth in our community with the tools they need to thrive.

Our foundation operates on two fronts. Firstly, we provide swift and targeted aid for immediate needs, including essentials like hygiene products, school supplies, clothing, and books. Secondly, we fund larger initiatives such as upgrading equipment for educational programs. With an emphasis on sustainability and efficiency, we maintain an easy-to-use infrastructure that offers multiple donation avenues, ensuring that giving back to Decatur is accessible to all. 

Our promise to donors is simple: all funds remain in Decatur, and every contribution is met with deliberateness, honesty, and the intention to do the most good. This approach reflects our commitment to not only providing immediate assistance but also investing in the long-term success and well-being of our community members.
