Cloud Concepts 101 Presentation (Completed June 2025)

Created and delivered a beginner-friendly presentation covering core cloud concepts, service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), deployment types, and major cloud providers. 

Azure Virtual Machines & Resource Management (Completed June 2025)

Deployed and configured Azure VMs with optimized compute settings, then used Azure Monitor and Cost Management tools to track performance and control resource costs. 

Azure Networking & Storage (Completed June 2025)
Configured storage accounts, VNets, NSGs, and routing to support secure resource access and communication.

Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM) (Completed June 2025)
Implemented RBAC and managed users/groups through Azure Active Directory.

Azure Automation with PowerShell & CLI 

Description:

Automated the full deployment and management of an Azure environment using PowerShell and Azure CLI 

Learned:

Automated VMs, networks, storage, and identity controls.
Set up monitoring, alerts, and cost governance.
Strengthened scripting and real-world Azure admin skills.

Role & Collaboration:

Created and presented the content to help beginners understand core cloud concepts in a clear and simple format. 

Outcome:

Built hands-on expertise in Azure automation, making complex environments easy to deploy and manage. 

Cloud Computing 101: A Beginner-Friendly Breakdown 

Description:

This presentation was created to help beginners understand the core concepts of cloud computing, the major providers, and common use cases. 

Learned:

Gained a foundational understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, deployment models, and major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. 

Role & Collaboration:

Independently designed and implemented all scripts; documented steps for easy reuse. 

Outcome:

Strengthened my AZ-900 prep and showcased my ability to explain technical topics.

Azure Virtual Machines Deployment 

Description:

Deployed Azure VMs with associated Storage, Networking, and Security configurations. Practiced VM administration, performance monitoring, and cost optimization. 

Learned:

Hands-on Azure compute and resource management. 

Role & Collaboration:

Self-directed project completed as part of my cloud learning journey. I planned and executed Azure deployments and configured networking.

Outcome:

Gained hands-on experience deploying and managing virtual machines in Azure, reinforcing key skills in compute resource configuration, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure setup.

Azure Storage & Networking Project 

Description:

Set up Azure Storage Accounts, VNets with subnets, and NSGs to explore cloud storage, network segmentation, and secure traffic control. 

Learned:

Developed hands-on experience managing Azure Storage, designing secure cloud networks, and implementing access controls, key skills for Cloud Administration and Support roles. 

Role & Collaboration:

Strengthened cloud networking and storage skills by independently configuring Azure Storage and Virtual Networks.

Outcome:

Successfully configured secure and organized Azure Storage and Networking environments. Built practical skills in cloud resource segmentation, access control, and storage management 

Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project 

Description:

Explored Azure AD and IAM, focusing on user/group management and RBAC. Tested role assignments on resources, with some limitations due to free-tier account restrictions. 

Learned:

Built foundational IAM and RBAC skills for secure cloud management. Gained hands-on experience configuring access controls in Azure. 

Role & Collaboration:

Implemented Azure IAM and configured RBAC on resources using the Access Control blade. 

Outcome:

Built practical experience managing access permissions with RBAC in Azure. Gained a deeper understanding of IAM principles and how to apply them to secure cloud resources.
