Depression is an illness that affects millions of people on a day-to-day basis. It can cause several issues for those effected, such as low self-esteem, intense sadness, or loss of interests. Unfortunately, depression and several other mental illnesses are still taboo subjects, so misinformation and confusion about them run rampant.
Our goal as a team is to spread awareness about depression and present the associated data in a way that is understandable to the masses.
Our team has several semesters of experience interpreting and presenting data. We believe our experience will allow us to successfully achieve our goal and spread the word about depression.
Each group member contributed to this assignment. Mayra was responsible for sourcing data and using tableau to create interactive visuals. Omoshola was responsible for sourcing statistics and wording them to be placed into the text. Finally, Arlo was responsible for aiding in the formation of the visuals and statistics, as well as inputting the final products into the website. Overall, our team functioned well together to assure we were all satisfied with our final product.
