Localized andcontextualized storybooks, chapter book, and comic book as Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material and Supplementary Reading Material (SRM) for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation (CCAM), developed through a partnership project of the Department of Education - SDO Antique Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) - Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) and School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) - Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Services. 

Leveled Readers are instructional materials designed to improve vocabulary, decoding, and comprehension for Grades 1–3, often focusing on Mother Tongue, Filipino, and English. They are structured to build fluency, with early levels using simple, repetitive text and imagery.

The Gawad Teodora Alonso (GTA), formerly the National Competition on Storybook Writing, is a harvesting program of the BLR that supports the implementation of all reading programs at all governance levels. it is a prestigious annual literary contest in the Philippines, typically aimed at recognizing outstanding Filipino writers who create high-quality children's literature. The competition is named in honor of Teodora Alonso Realonda, who is famously known as the mother of Dr. José Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. Teodora was an educated woman who greatly influenced Rizal’s intellectual growth, and the award honors her legacy by encouraging the writing of meaningful and culturally significant stories for young readers. 

The Masadya Magbasa Program: "Bringing Books to learners", is a Division initiated program which aims to provide SRMs to learners who are able to read independently, and who are transitioning towards independent reading.
